This detached Accessory Dwelling Unit above 2-Car Garage on an interior lot in Salt Lake City was a challenge to fit within the property’s narrow width, setback requirements, and height limitations for the second story.  The solution was to keep the building form and layout as simple and functional as possible.  The garage is accessed from a rear alley, while the ADU engages a shared courtyard with the existing home.
