Kentucky Avenue Residence

This mid-century home had ample space but was in need of a refresh with regard to its interior layout, amenities, and finishes.  The Entry, Kitchen, Living, Dining, and Master Suite became the main focus of renovations.  The floor plan layout was re-organized to provide better function and visual connection/interaction between spaces without compromising the home’s original character.  Though the existing roof was not disturbed, some areas of attic and joists were opened up to provide more height and relief from an otherwise continuous ceiling plane throughout the existing home.  The back Patio area becomes an extension of the interior living space using an open shade structure to define its volume.
