To emphasize the community aspect of this townhouse project, individual units within the plan were designed with a simple, three-tone material pallete. When units are placed adjacent to one another, these materials become contiuous bands across entire buildings, blurring the lines between adjacent units as they all face onto shared amenities and landscaping. In some instances, groups of units are placed directly side-by-side to create a clear massing of three or four townhouses. On longer buildings, the same units are staggered back and forth to further blur the lines between adjacent units while simultaneously disguising the mass of the structure to make it more appropriate to the scale of the neighborhood.
