When The Stacks original design for rental apartments was derailed by strict interpretations of ‘covered parking’, alternative solutions were explored. This scheme for 5 townhomes makes efficient use of the challenging long and narrow lot. The reduced unit count lowers the off-street parking burden to a level that can be accommodated on a single-loaded driveway. As required, the front 3-Bedroom unit has a Ground Floor flex space that could be converted to a commercial use. The 2-Bedroom units beyond stack horizontally. Each townhome has its own 2-Car Garage. The project is separated into 2 buildings, so the proportions do not exceed maximum allowable building lengths.
